Comments about Normandy Holidays, The House & Area

We really want our guests to have a good holiday. We have worked hard to decorate and maintain the house stylishly and to equip it well to suit holiday needs. The house and garden are looked after by Rosie and Dan, an English couple who live close by.

Below are some feed back comments from a few of our guests:

We have had a fantastic holiday and really enjoyed staying at your house. Thanks very much for all your help and information prior to our stay. We have recommended you to our friends and family and we hope to return one day as we still have so much to see and do!

We really enjoyed our week staying in Pont L'Abbe - your house was absolutely ideal as a base for all the places we wanted to go.  In all the years we've been to France we've never stayed in a town, so it was great to be in such a friendly one, and with a traditional market and the excellent mobile pizza van and breakfast croissants and pain only a minute's walk.  We really appreciated your totally superb instructions for the house, information on the area, and ideas for days out.  It made the holiday 'easier' and made sense to use your knowledge of the best places to go.  So many thanks for helping us to have a really good holiday.

We really enjoyed staying in your house in Pont L'Abbe. The house had a lovely feel to it and was well located for exploring the area. Thank you for your amazing attention to detail in renting it both in the equipment available and the information on where to go. The children loved the natural sea water swimming pool at Pirou and we may not have found it without your guidance. My only disappointment was not seeing any otters but my son saw one whilst out in a canoe!

Thank you once again and I hope that we will be able to return another year.

We had a most enjoyable time in and around Pont L'Abbe.  In fact, we must have explored almost every corner of the peninsula criss-crossing it time and again.  The beaches are fabulous and so is the countryside.  But it was very nice to return in the evenings to a comfortable home and wind down over dinner and relax in the garden.  I certainly would like to visit again in the future especially as I see you have a collection of bikes in the outhouse!

Very well equipped and located house. Great "Welcome" folder of activities and suggestions. We thought the position was superb, near to everything we would want as a holidaying family.

We wanted to reiterate what an absolutely lovely holiday we had in France and what a delight it was to stay in your house in Pont L'Abbe. Thankyou for all your thoughtful preparation and for providing such a comfortable and well equipped holiday home.

A week of days out and 'resting'... at 'home'! A lovely house to read, rest, chat, play in. Secluded, private, great garden - deck and lawn...spent a lot of time at the end of the day, in the heat, watching a golden sun sink behind the trees. Enjoyed breakfast treats from both boulangeries.
Having a bath and watching clouds go by out of the wi...ndow. Watching stars out of the attic windows/ sun melt into the trees. Love hearing the clock bells chime. House - lovely, felt like home from home - storage pots etc for leftovers and picnics, games, toys, dvds music, and a wealth of well thought out information. Loved the house, so relaxing if you want to retreat, but great location for things to do.

Loved our time at your lovely house. We will highly recomend you. We found it a perfect base and so child friendly it makes life so easy. This was first holiday my husband wasnt starting to get itchy feet and wanting to get home so that speaks volumes!
Thank you

We had a most lovely time in Pont L'Abbe, the house exceeding expectations and the location perfect.  We had one morning of rain in the whole two weeks and two dull but warm days, otherwise lovely sunny weather for us to take advantage of the local lovely walks etc.  We found several markets and the Lessay Fair which we thoroughly enjoyed.  It was so handy to have the shops nearby and my husband had his daily constitutional to the bakers!

The lady in the Tourist Office who happened to be catching up on some paperwork one day when they don't open, saw us looking in the window and invited us in to see the WW2 exhibition.  Everyone was so friendly.

We had a fabulous week at No 34. It is the perfect location, you can easily reach so many interesting and beautiful parts of Normandy.
No 34 had everything that we needed, Alex enjoyed the garden and the trampoline, we all enjoyed meals on the decking and playing board games or watching DVDs in the evenings.
The village also provided all we needed, especially the boulangeries and Le Madelo, I am now addicted to tarte aux pommes.
We intended to walk and cycle in the French countryside, however the D-Day hype drew us in and we were totally engrossed. We have visited Calvados before but not this far over and didn't realise how much action took place in the area.

We really enjoyed our week's holiday at the house, an excellent base to explore the sights of Normandy. The house is well equipped and with so much guidance and information at your disposal (a credit to the owners) you cannot fail to have an interesting visit.

The Morrises, September 2008

Particularly liked the bikes and provision of cycle route maps - this was the reason we chose your house.

The house was beautiful - a real French town house. I envisage returning with friends and children. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

So much to see - so little time!

The house is really well-equipped and so well placed for all the attractions of the area. Merci!

The Steads, September 2008

We really enjoyed our stay again this year. The house is an excellent base for exploring Normandy. The facilities are great in this well equipped and well located house.

The house represents good value for money. We will certainly consider visiting again.

B. Reader, August 2007. Ps They did book again!

We had a super holiday & really loved the house, especially the top bedroom. The garden was brilliant too especially the swingball!

Very homely and everything we could need. The location was also perfect and a real French experience.

C. Page, Essex, England.

We had a wonderful time and the house proved to be an excellent base in which to relax after full days out in Normandy. The garden and patio area were great, and the videos helped occupy the kids' minds in the evenings.

The service and information you provided prior to the holiday was superb, Lisa and I would wholeheartedly reccomend you.

N. O'Connor, Northumberland, England
